Message from the Texas Department of Agriculture

"At TDA, our goal is to work with others to develop and use pest management systems that are safe for humans and the environment. Our strong partnership with Cooperative Extension and Texas Pest Management Association (TPMA) has helped enhance the use of IPM in Texas. We will continue to support research that gives both producers and homeowners the chance to learn about effective strategies that minimize the use of chemicals in controlling their pest problems."

(The Texas Department of Agriculture (TDA) funds a number of important grant projects that help to research and promote the use of IPM in the state. The Texas IPM Program administered through TPMA and Cooperative Extension is a public/private partnership that encourages the use of IPM in farming operations. As an IPM Partner, the TDA plays an important role in the accomplishments of the statewide IPM effort.
