Continuing Education Units

Introduction

Before you proceed, please take a moment to review the following important notes:

1.) Registration and course records are maintained within our electronic database for the current calendar year only. Registration and course information for the year will be deleted from our system files on January 1 of each year. Records will be maintained in permanent files at the TIPMF office. It, therefore, is necessary for you to register with our system during each calendar year.

2.) If you have specific questions pertaining to your license requirements and required CEUs, please direct your inquiries to:

Texas Department of Agriculture
Attn: Pesticide Programs Division
PO Box 12847
Austin TX 78711-2847
Telephone: 1-800-835-5832

Only the TDA can provide you with official information that pertains to your particular license and CEU requirements.

3.) Remember: You MUST keep your printed Certificate of Completion for your own records in order to recertify!

4.) This "courseware" service is intended for certified or licensed pesticide applicators. Upon completing a course, you will receive continuing education units (CEUs) that are recognized by the Texas Department of Agriculture in fulfillment of renewal requirements for a pesticide applicator license or certificate.

5.) Current course offerings cover the topic categories of laws and regulations, drift minimization, general IPM topics, and integrated pest management (IPM). A charge of $15 is assessed per CEU credit hour.

6.) The state sets a limit on the number of CEUs that a pesticide applicator may obtain via remote means (Internet or other home study). For private applicators: No more than 10 CEUs per 5-year cycle may be obtained from TDA-approved home study courses. For commercial and non commercial applicators: at most, CEUs from TDA-approved home study may be used to recertify only every other year.

7.) If, at any time, you experience a problem or otherwise have a question about the electronic CEU program maintained by the Texas IPM Foundation, you may contact us at:
